Role: Bank Teller
Location: Tulsa, OK
Hours: 8:30am - 5:00pm CST
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 / Hourly
SUMMARY
Receives and pays out money. Keeps records of money and negotiable instruments involved in financial transactions by performing the following:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receives checks and cash for deposit, verifies amounts and examines checks for endorsements.
- Cashes checks and pays out money after verification of signatures and customer balances.
- Enters customers' transactions into computer to record transactions and issues computer generated receipts.
- Places holds on accounts for uncollected funds.
- Orders daily supply of cash and counts incoming cash.
- Balances currency, coin and checks in cash drawer at end of shift and compares totaled amounts with data displayed on computer screen.
- Explains, promotes and/or sells products or services.
- Removes deposits, counts and balances cash in from automated teller machines and night depository.
- Other duties may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be able to perform basic customer service and math skills.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- High school graduate or equivalent required. Some college preferred. Cash handling experience, customer service experience and/or teller experience is helpful.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time without a break.
