JOB DESCRIPTION :

We are looking for a highly motivated, customer focused Bartender to join our team! The Bartender is responsible for delivering memorable hospitality to our guests with genuine and personable connections and engaging service. As a Bartender, it is your responsibility to seek to understand the guest’s needs while preparing perfect beverages in a timely manner. This individual will need to be quick on your feet and have an engaging attitude.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

  • $7/hr.+ tips – Paid biweekly (every two weeks)

SCHEDULE:

The hospitality industry is 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and 365 days of the year. All candidates must be available and are expected to work Texas A&M football game days, Ring Days, graduations, and other high occupancy times due to special events. We strive hard to manage and minimalize overtime, but it should and will be expected when business levels call for it.

  • Part-time: 8-29 hours per week depending on level of business forecasted

  • Days of week/weekend scheduled will vary depending on level of business forecasted.

  • Shift options: Typically 3PM-1AM

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Compose and be knowledgeable of standard drinks and liquors or wines specific to lounge bar.

  • Plan and maintain par levels for bar inventory. Prepare daily orders for bar items to maintain pars.

  • Responsible for cash handling and bank procedures as outlined by the Accounting Department.

  • Perform accurate bar inventories as outlined by leadership expectations.

  • Responsible for learning suggestive selling techniques and using them during services.

  • Maintain cleanliness of all workplace areas that apply to the bar.

  • Maintain perfectly crisp professional image and uniform.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two to three years bartending experience.
  • One-year fine dining or high-end resort experience.
  • Extensive liquor, beer, wine and mixology knowledge.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Pleasant and helpful personality.

Other: The hotel functions seven (7) days a week and twenty-four (24) hours per day. All employees, both management and hourly, must realize this fact and be aware that at times it may be necessary to move employees from their accustomed shift as business demands.
