Bell Host/Hostess:

As a Bell Host/ Hostess you will act as an ambassador of our hotel for all guests by delivering a superior arrival and departure experience. Interact with guests and colleagues daily, providing courteous and efficient service creating a feeling of welcome. Exceeding customer expectations is the primary responsibility all the while operating within guidelines and procedures established by Kona Village, a Rosewood Resort.

What will you be doing:

Assist with the coordination of a guests' stay with luggage, valet and other guests' requests

• Ensure every guest is greeted and acknowledged with the aloha spirit
• Assist with the hotel's bike and golf club programs. Ensure that proper waivers are signed, and equipment is returned in the same condition
• Control bell storage area; receive and issue claim tickets for baggage to be stored. Retrieve luggage when claim tickets are presented
• Assist with group transportation and luggage movements
• Support expediters and shuttle service when needed
• Provide unique experiences for all our guests through warm, personal & detailed service in a luxury, upscale and fast-paced environment.
• Ensure a positive first impression of the resort for our guests through detailed cleanliness, set-up and ambiance control.
• Try to remember individual's names and their preferences to extend a personalized service
• Assist other rooms division departments with their operations during peak times
• or when required
• Apply necessary precautions with regards to the hotel safety and hygiene standards (HACCP)
• Be well versed in hotel fire & life safety/emergency procedures
• Always maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene
• Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the Management of the Hotel

Your experience and skills include:

• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
• Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language
• Ability to speak other languages and basic understanding of local languages will be an advantage
• Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team
• Detailed & service oriented with an eye for detail to be self-motivated and energetic

Salary Range: $18.00 per hour
