LifeLearn is looking to fill the position of Business Analyst, who, under the direction of the Director of Operations, will primarily be responsible to collaborate and convert commercial requirements into viable technical specifications by providing documented cases, workflow analysis and executable stories. This position must have the ability lead requirement gathering, future state design and fit-gap analysis with business stakeholders. This role will assess the impact of all product changes to existing products, related to systems or platforms and business processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, product managers and software development team to convert commercial requirements into viable technical specifications and acceptance criteria for different software products providing documented use cases, workflow analysis and executable stories.
  • Ensure requirement documents effectively communicate proposed product development plans to non-technical staff including subject matter experts, marketing and company executives.
  • Support the business in implementing the required changes to make effective use of new products.
  • Respond to and incorporate material requirement changes into existing development work or work product, as required to ensure the end product meets market requirements at launch.
  • Provide ongoing assistance and guidance to development teams during development phase to deal with issues and questions that arise regarding requirements and solutions.
  • Assess the impact of all product changes on existing products, related systems or platformsand business processes.
  • Contribute to Q/A test cases and user experience testing.
  • Act as a technical resource for business partners to research system issues and ensure deliverables meet business and end-user requirements.
  • Communicate delivery status and provide timely notifications of issues, contribute to recommendations for resolution to project management.
  • Monitor alignment of expectations between all stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the business case analysis process for all products.
  • Manage the requirements approval process.
  • Keep all requirement documents up to date and ensure their availability to all stakeholders.
  • Ensure requirements documents have the detail required to create clearly describe software development tasks.
  • Ability to lead requirements gathering, future state design and fit-gap analysis workshops with stakeholders.

The Business Analyst Must Possess The Following

  • Degree or diploma in computer science, science, business or a field related to the industry
  • Minimum of Five years of related experience in an analysis role.
  • Ability to understand the effective application of technology to solve business problems.
  • Experience in writing technical reports and other relevant documentation such as process workflows.
  • Experience and knowledge of commonly used concepts, best practices and standard procedures related to business analysis their application to software development projects.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical members of the organization
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
  • High flexibility with strong interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse environment
