Newly opened Controller search. This role is available due to a planned retirement and offers the chance to step in as the top finance leader in the organization, reporting directly to the owners. Highlights: *Lead the finance function as the #1 accounting and finance person *Report directly to ownership, with visibility and influence at the highest level *International service company with a strong, established presence

This role is hands-on and varied, covering accounting, payroll, benefits, insurance, HR support, and general office management. You’ll also oversee an Accounting Assistant and serve as a key resource across the business.

• Prepare monthly and year-end financial statements, manage general ledger, and file sales taxes.
  

• Oversee payroll processing, payroll taxes, and employee expense reporting.
  

• Coordinate year-end tax documents and work with CPA firm.
  

• Manage banking activities including vendor payments, deposits, and reconciliations.
  

• Oversee employee benefits, 401(k) contributions, and business insurance renewals.
  

• Support HR Director with employee requests and HR activities.
  

• Oversee accounting staff

• Manage office operations and vendor relationships to keep things running smoothly.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  

• CPA a plus

• Proficiency with QuickBooks,  Intuit Payroll and Microsoft Office Suite.
  

• Strong accounting and payroll experience.
  

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  

• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and work independently.
  

• Prior supervisory experience is a plus.
