We are seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our pediatric dental practice for a part-time position, 2 days/week--Thursdays and Fridays. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
Complete coronal polishing, fluoride treatment, and sealants.
Assist the dentist during examinations, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare and maintain the treatment area, including sterilization of instruments and equipment.
Take and process dental X-rays.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Create a comfortable environment for young patients.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant.
Knowledge of X-ray techniques and safety protocols.
Understanding of infection control practices in a dental setting.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and team members.
A compassionate demeanor towards patients, especially in pediatric dentistry settings.
