Summary

A Million Dreamz is changing the face of child care right here in Sheboygan! Our mission at A Million Dreamz is to offer quality, affordable child care 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, in an all-inclusive and kind environment while providing resources, referrals, advocacy, and other services to encourage and support the continuing development of healthy families.

Assistant Teachers will work with and take direction from Lead Teachers to care for and educate the students in their classroom. Assistant teachers also help Lead Teachers with student development, curriculum, classroom environment and activities.

We are currently seeking Assistant Teachers for afternoon, evening and weekend shifts. However, first shift would be available for the right candidate.

Duties

• Work with children under the supervision and direction of a Lead Teacher.
• Provide daily activity information to parents and guardians via BrightWheel. 
• Maintain professional and open communication with parents and guardians.
• Maintains effective communication between all childcare staff members through BrightWheel documentation, in-classroom documentation and informal conversations.
• Work with diverse populations of children and adults.
• Remains flexible in assisting and accepting responsibility for other daily duties in the center.
• Adheres to all DCF regulations and company standards.
• Follows Staff Policies and Center Policies.
• Attends and participates in continuing education, professional development, staff meetings, center events, and parent/teacher meetings.

Requirements

• Must meet requirements of DCF 251 for Assistant Teacher.
• Current CPR, first aid, AHT, SIDS and Mandated Reporter certifications.
• Member of Wisconsin Registry.
• Able to spend long hours standing, walking, kneeling, and lifting 40 pounds.
• Able to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Pass a background check.
