Job Title: Electronics Engineer
Location: Brooklyn, NY- Hybrid

Please note, the role is based in Brooklyn and the candidate will be onsite a minimum of 4 days per week.
Smart design is looking for a contract systems engineer for a ~6-9 month engagement, with the potential to transition to full-time.

Basics you will need for this role:
5 to 10 years of experience
BS or higher in relevant area (Computer or Electrical Engineering)
Experience in design of electronic circuits which includes schematics and board layout (KiCad/Altium)
Experience with design of embedded low power circuits
Experience with design of power subsystems
Good skills in soldering, assembling and reworking PCB boards with Surface Mount and Thru Hole components
Good understanding of signal integrity
High proficiency with using test and measurement equipment like Logic Analyzers and Oscilloscopes
Ability to align project goals with scheduling and design complexity
A plus if you also have :
Ability to write C/C++ in embedded environments
Familiar with communication interfaces like i2c, OneWire, UART, USB, BLE, SPI
Experience with version control 'GIT' as applied to software development
Interest and ability to work with various technical and non-technical disciplines
