Description A rapidly growing technology and SaaS company in Carlsbad is searching for a highly analytical Junior Financial Analyst to join their finance and business intelligence team. This position is ideal for someone early in their finance career who enjoys digging into data, building financial models, and helping leadership understand trends that drive business performance. Key Responsibilities + Support senior analysts and finance leadership with budgeting, forecasting, and monthly variance analysis + Assist in developing KPI dashboards, weekly metrics updates, and board reporting materials + Perform revenue and cost analysis across product lines; identify changes in customer behavior, retention, and acquisition costs + Help maintain, refine, and automate financial models using Excel and internal BI reporting tools + Participate in month-end close by preparing financial summaries, accrual analysis, and expense reviews + Assist with project-based financial research such as pricing analyses, customer lifetime value, and ROI modeling + Generate ad hoc reports for operations, sales, and executive teams + Ensure data integrity across multiple systems and assist with reconciliation projects Requirements + Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field + 1-2 years of financial analysis or similar experience (internships included) + Strong Excel skills (INDEX/MATCH, pivot tables, lookups, charts) + Familiarity with a BI platform (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar) a strong plus + Excellent communication and presentation skills + Natural curiosity and ability to explain financial concepts to non-finance departments Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
