DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY: Performs clinical diagnostic nuclear medicine testing, including general studies, cardiac studies, and the computer interactions associated with these studies. Provides excellent patient care to all patients following AIDET guidelines. Has advance knowledge of anatomy. Possesses the ability to work hand in hand with the Radiologist to best meet the patient's needs. Knows the risks behind working with radioactive isotopes and works carefully with them. RequirementsDUCATION: Must have graduated from an accredited Nuclear Medicine program. CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: New Mexico Nuclear Medicine license required. ARRT (N), or CNMT license required. DOT transportation certification required. BLS issued through American Heart Association required. SKILLS: Thorough knowledge of isotopes and ordering of isotopes associated imaging equipment, anatomy and physiology, and terminology. Ability to perform venous access. EXPERIENCE: Minimum 1-year nuclear medicine experience required.
