Opening Barista

Location will be 1087 W King St.

In the Opening Barista role at App Cookie Company you will be responsible for understanding coffee products, making drinks, following recipes as well as greeting and engaging with customers and taking their orders. You will help keep the barista counter and front of house organized and clean as well as count and stock inventory as needed. Our employees must maintain high standards of restaurant cleanliness, sanitation and food quality.

Position Requirements:

• Typical Morning/Opening Shifts: 8am - 2pm; 10-5pm, *shifts can vary slightly from these hours*
• Additional Available Shifts: 2pm - 9pm, 5pm-11pm *shifts can vary slightly from these hours*
• Must have availability leading up to Christmas and Thanksgiving OR availability immediately following Christmas and Thanksgiving
• Must be a quick learning individual
• Position can be physically demanding, must be comfortable standing for long periods
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must pay close attention to detail
• Must be positive and proactive
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Must be 18 years or older 
• Should be solution oriented
• Preference will be given to those with previous barista experience

Position Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve a variety of craft coffee drinks and beverages
• Operating POS and taking orders
• Provide excellent customer service by taking orders and addressing customer inquiries
• Having knowledge of menu and products 
• Putting away ingredients when food orders arrive
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Differentiating between various baked goods and serving them to customers
• Communicating with co-workers and managers regarding inventory
• Repetitive movement and cognitive skills
• Sweeping, mopping, washing dishes and other general cleaning duties

Availability Requirements:

• (Required) Ability to work at least 3 Shifts per week or 18-21 hours per week
• (Required) Availability for 5 shifts per week (Available for 5 and able to work 3 so that you can work a variety of shifts)
• (Required) 2+ Weekday Morning availability
