Our client, a prestigious Am Law 100 firm, is seeking an entry-level Capital Markets Paralegal position based in Houston. The successful candidate will be immediately seconded to a global financial institution (onsite at their client) and will work on-site full-time, assisting with the administration of its Collateralized Loan Obligation (CLO) portfolio.
This is a unique opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to gain hands-on experience in structured finance, CLO administration, and the inner workings of the banking and finance sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the day-to-day administration of the financial institutions' CLO portfolio
Support legal and compliance teams in managing transactional documentation and related processes
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and workflow
Maintain accurate records and assist with document organization and archiving
Conduct research and analysis related to loan and capital markets transactions
Perform other administrative and paralegal duties as required
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree required
Exceptional time management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and perform well under pressure
High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, PDF creation tools, and internet research
Familiarity with document management systems, Intapp, or other timekeeping software is preferred
Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and transport documents or office supplies as needed
Willingness to work overtime and travel as required
