Job Description

Overview:

The Parent Liaison is responsible for assisting the Camp Director in providing and producing outstanding communication touchpoints with camper families as well as the supervision of staff.

This job announcement is not intended to be inclusive of all functions, responsibilities and qualifications associated with the position, however, representative of the essential job functions and typical criteria considered necessary to successfully perform the position.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist Camp Director with daily operation of camp, especially in regard to parent and camper communication.
  • Responsible for responding and corresponding with parents in a timely manner.
  • Act as a liaison for camper check-ins, lost and found inquiries, early and late pick-ups and drop-offs as well as assisting with the coordination of an organized and welcoming camper check-in and check-out.
  • Assist Village Counselors with blog.
  • Oversee Bunk1 replies.
  • Assist Healthcare provider as needed.
  • Support staff with camper and village needs.
  • Assist with Trading Post.
  • Attend and participate in Administration Staff Training and All Staff Training.
Qualifications:
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Leadership skills to assist in daily camp operation.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or related field is preferred (or working toward degree).
  • Knowledge in the daily operation of camp programs, including staff and camper supervision as well as outstanding customer service skills.
  • Knowledge in safety, care of equipment and supplies, inventory, skill instructions and progressive age-appropriate programming.
  • The ability to teach songs, crafts, games, stories, sports, and related skills is preferred.
  • Must show enthusiasm, dedication, responsibility and maturity and have the ability to interact and communicate clearly with campers, parents and staff whether in person, over the phone, or via email.
