Job Description

Premier Pharmacy Care is looking for a pharmacy technician to add to our growing work force full-time! We are a long-term care pharmacy servicing elders and other residents of facilities across the state of Arkansas. Under general supervision, our technicians assist the pharmacists in filling physicians’ orders and selecting and packaging medications for delivery to our nursing homes. The hours are overnight; 9:00pm-8:00am. Work 7 days on and be off 7 days. The shift starts on Thursday and ends on Wednesday.

Responsibilities include the following:

• Accurately select and fill medications according to physicians’ orders.
• Prepare IV medications using the aseptic technique. Experience preferred but not required.
• Prepare and maintain emergency medication kits for use in our nursing facilities.
• Assisting with stocking and maintenance of automated dispensing equipment.

Qualification and skills include the following:

• One year of pharmacy experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique is preferred but not required.
• Exemplary verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently and comfortably in a fast-paced environment.

A pharmacy technician license in good standing with the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy is required.
