Position: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
Shift: Day Shift (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
Shift Length: 8 hours
Contract Duration: 6 weeks
The Physical Therapist Assistant will support the Physical Therapist in providing rehabilitative care to residents in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting. The PTA will assist patients with mobility, strength, and functional activities to improve independence and overall quality of life.
Key ResponsibilitiesImplement treatment plans as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, and transfers.
Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the supervising PT.
Document daily treatments and patient responses in compliance with facility and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with occupational therapists, speech therapists, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary team.
Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety techniques.
Maintain adherence to professional, ethical, and regulatory standards.
Participate in care planning and team meetings as needed.
Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).
Experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation settings preferred.
Strong clinical, communication, and documentation skills.
Ability to follow treatment plans and work independently.
