Registered Nurse (RN) – Correctional Health - Travel Position Location: Des Moines, WA Job Type: Travel Contract Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12 Days Pay: $2,500.92/week About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide healthcare services within a correctional facility. The RN will deliver high-quality nursing care to incarcerated individuals, ensuring safety, compliance, and dignity in a secure environment. Key Responsibilities

Perform patient assessments, triage, and administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Respond to medical emergencies and provide urgent care within the correctional setting.
Monitor chronic conditions and assist with preventive health programs.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all facility, state, and federal regulations.
Educate patients on health management and promote wellness initiatives.
Ensure adherence to security protocols while providing compassionate care.

Qualifications

Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
Licensure: Current RN license in the state of practice.
Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred.
Experience: Previous experience in correctional health, emergency, or acute care preferred.
Strong communication, critical thinking, and adaptability skills.
