Job Description

We’re looking for a sharp, detail-obsessed Copywriter to define and champion the Tapstitch voice across every channel. This role will act as the central editorial touchpoint—elevating and aligning all brand copy to ensure it feels cohesive, premium, and unmistakably Tapstitch across social, email, SMS, website, Help Center, SEO landing pages, blog, and our upcoming Academy.

In this position, you’ll review and refine copy drafted by channel owners, ensuring it hits our tone and quality bar before it goes live. You’ll also develop and maintain a Brand Copy Handbook, creating a shared language and clear standards for how Tapstitch communicates. This is an ideal role for someone who can blend editorial rigor with trend-forward creativity and wants to shape how the world experiences our brand.

Role Overview

  • Conduct a comprehensive audit of all existing copy across channels (social, email, SMS, website, Help Center, SEO pages, blog, Academy, and more) to establish a baseline and identify gaps or inconsistencies.
  • Edit and elevate copy across all customer touchpoints to ensure a consistent voice and high-quality standard.
  • Offer constructive, actionable feedback to channel owners (Social, Lifecycle, Website, CX, etc.), who will finalize and publish content.
  • Establish and evolve our brand tone to reflect our positioning as a fashion tech brand with a trend-driven edge.
  • Identify and replace "off-tone" or low-quality language with elevated, on-brand messaging.
  • Create and maintain a comprehensive Brand Copy Handbook covering tone, vocabulary, grammar, formatting, and best-in-class examples.
  • Refresh and distribute the handbook quarterly to keep pace with brand evolution.
  • Conduct regular audits of live content to surface inconsistencies, outdated messaging, or gaps.
  • Build efficient editorial review processes that protect quality without slowing speed to market.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, creative, and CX teams to align messaging strategy and execution.
  • Monitor and report on content quality metrics (consistency, engagement, sentiment) to relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop scalable systems, workflows, and best practices for editorial quality and brand voice governance.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional writing or editing experience, ideally in fashion, beauty, or tech.
  • Demonstrated ability to craft and uphold a distinct brand voice.
  • Familiarity with omnichannel brand environments (social, email, web, CX, etc.).
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to give clear, actionable feedback.
  • Meticulous attention to grammar, tone, and detail.
  • Experience creating and maintaining editorial style guides or brand voice frameworks.
  • Background in marketing copywriting for e-commerce or consumer tech.
  • Understanding of SEO principles and UX writing best practices.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members across multiple time zones (US and China).

Benefits

  • Be part of a mission-driven team transforming the future of creator commerce.
  • Competitive compensation and equity package.
  • Mostly in-person work setup with team HQ in NYC.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Opportunities to work with top-tier creators, designers, and artists.
