Job Role:  Senior Documentation Specialist
City/State/Region: Remote within the continental US
Job Type: Full-Time / Exempt Salary Range: $70K – $90K

Overview:

INTECON is seeking an experienced documentation professional who can take complex material and turn it into structured, clear, and polished deliverables. You'll lead document creation efforts for a long-term federal initiative focused on emerging technology and standards — including artificial intelligence (AI).

Note: AI expertise is not required. You'll work with technical and policy-related content and must be comfortable navigating complex information and producing structured, standards-compliant documents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, edit, and finalize technical documents and policy deliverables
  • Conduct research to support the development of standards-related documentation
  • Organize and synthesize reviewer input
  • Apply document templates, formatting standards, and version control
  • Support reporting deliverables with clarity, accuracy, and consistency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a writing-intensive or related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in documentation, technical writing, or editing for federal or technical programs
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to write to formatting standards and style guides
  • Able to work independently, manage timelines, and coordinate reviews in a remote setting.
