The Georgetown Business Improvement District (GBID) seeks a Senior Manager of Economic Development with experience in urban planning, economic development, land use, or transportation policy, and strong data analysis skills applied to problem solving, community engagement, and placemaking. The ideal candidate understands how policy, data, and market dynamics shape neighborhood economic performance and works effectively across teams and with diverse stakeholders.
The goal of this position is to strengthen Georgetown’s economic competitiveness by supporting business retention and attraction, engaging key stakeholders, and using data-driven storytelling to communicate the neighborhood’s role in the District’s economy. The role advances economic development, community engagement, and placemaking priorities with BID leadership and partners and reports to the CEO while working closely with the Senior Leadership Team.
The Georgetown BID is a publicly chartered nonprofit dedicated to making Georgetown cleaner, safer, more user-friendly, and more vibrant. The BID operates programs in marketing, public space maintenance, streetscape improvements, economic development research, and transportation access. This position offers a competitive salary range of $75,000–$90,000, commensurate with experience. Benefits include paid time off, holidays, transit subsidy, and medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) coverage.
