Description Our client, in the automotive industry, is looking for a Staff Accountant to join their team on a temp-to-hire basis! This is a great opportunity for someone who has good foundation of accounting knowledge, who is looking to continue growing in this field as the client is open to training and believes in promoting from within. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years experience in accounting, understands debits/credits, and experienced in reconciliations. Responsibilities: - Conduct research and reconciliation of general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance. - Calculate commissions and process Fixed Asset transactions in a timely and efficient manner. - Perform due diligence for Unclaimed Property matters, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up. - Prepare and file monthly and quarterly tax reports with attention to detail and adherence to deadlines. - Code daily cash payments, reconcile bank accounts, and post journal entries accurately. - Collaborate on project-based reporting tasks, adapting to changing priorities and timelines. - Assist with month-end close processes, ensuring all entries and reconciliations are completed. - Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, or SAP to manage financial data effectively. Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, with a focus on accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger work. - Proficiency in conducting bank reconciliations and posting journal entries. - Familiarity with month-end close procedures and tax report filing. - Strong working knowledge of accounting software, including NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP. - Ability to calculate commissions and process Fixed Asset transactions accurately. - Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability to project-based tasks. - High level of reliability, dependability, and attention to detail.
