LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a well-established manufacturer in the Monroe, NC area to identify a dedicated Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Technician. This position will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations while driving continuous improvement across EH&S programs.

This is a fully onsite position offering the opportunity to work with a collaborative and hands-on team supporting essential operations within a growing organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine safety and environmental inspections (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.)
• Maintain hazardous and universal waste programs, including DOT certification requirements
• Lead safety training sessions and employee onboarding around EH&S processes
• Facilitate and document job safety analysis (JSA) for various operational areas
• Oversee recycling, refuse, and general waste handling programs
• Lead and organize Safety Committee meetings and track actionable outcomes
• Manage first responder/first aid programs and maintain OSHA certification compliance
• Conduct daily compliance checks for forklifts, cranes, and facility equipment
• Collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives related to safety and risk reduction
• Support ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 9001:2015 compliance and documentation

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• 5+ years of EH&S experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
• Familiarity with JSA (Job Safety Analysis) and hazardous waste regulations
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Experience working within an ISO-certified environment preferred
• OSHA 10/30 certification a plus
