At Chick-fil-A Saraland, food safety and quality are at the heart of everything we do. We are seeking a Food Safety & Food Quality Director who is passionate about excellence, accountability, and developing teams to ensure every guest receives safe, high-quality food—every visit.

Position Overview

The Food Safety & Food Quality Director is responsible for leading, implementing, and maintaining all food safety, quality assurance, and sanitation standards across the restaurant. This role partners with operations and leadership to drive compliance, continuous improvement, and a culture where food safety is everyone’s responsibility. This role requires the Food Safety & Food Quality Director to work in the restaurant operations to serve our guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all food safety and food quality programs in alignment with Chick-fil-A standards and local/state regulations
• Ensure strict adherence to temperature control, sanitation, food handling, and storage procedures
• Conduct regular food safety audits, line checks, and quality evaluations; identify trends and corrective actions
• Train, coach, and develop leaders and team members on food safety best practices and quality expectations
• Serve as the primary point of contact for health inspections and regulatory visits
• Collaborate with operations to support day-to-day execution and continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting related to food safety compliance
• Champion a culture of excellence, accountability, and guest trust

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food safety, quality assurance, or restaurant operations (QSR or hospitality preferred)
• Strong understanding of food safety regulations
• Exceptional leadership, training, and communication skills
• High attention to detail with the ability to coach and influence teams
• Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, and weekends
• ServSafe Certification (or ability to obtain)
