Description A stable and well-established manufacturing company in San Marcos is seeking a detail-focused and highly motivated Junior Financial Analyst to support the accounting and production finance teams. This role offers hands-on involvement with cost accounting, inventory analysis, and operational reporting-ideal for someone who enjoys understanding how products are made and why financial results shift month to month. This position is intentionally designed to grow into a full Financial Analyst role within 12-18 months. Key Responsibilities + Assist with cost analysis, including material costs, labor hour tracking, production inefficiencies, and overhead allocation + Prepare weekly and monthly operational reporting for production managers and supervisors + Participate in physical inventory counts and variance explanations + Work closely with the accounting team to support month-end close activities such as accruals, reconciliations, and COGS analysis + Maintain and update financial forecasting templates and long-term planning models + Perform margin and profitability analysis by product line and customer channel + Gather data from internal systems, validating accuracy and identifying anomalies + Support pricing reviews, cost-benefit studies, and business case evaluations for capital expenditures Requirements + BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, or related field + Strong analytical mindset and eagerness to learn cost accounting + Intermediate Excel: pivots, formulas, data validation, charts + Experience with ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, Epicor) is an advantage + Excellent attention to detail and comfort working with large datasets + Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate findings to both finance and production teams Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
