Position Title: Pharmacist – Investigational Drug Services / Oncology
Location: Ithaca, NY
Job Type: Contract | Local or Travel
Shift: Nights (5x8-hour shifts)
Pay Rate: $72 – $75/hour
Manage all aspects of investigational drug services in accordance with study protocols and regulatory guidelines.
Oversee day-to-day operations of the oncology infusion pharmacy, including medication preparation, verification, and dispensing.
Maintain comprehensive documentation for investigational drug accountability and compliance.
Ensure adherence to FDA regulations, USP <797>/<800> standards, and institutional policies.
Collaborate with clinical research coordinators, oncology providers, and study sponsors to support trial protocols.
Educate pharmacy staff, clinical teams, and investigators on investigational drug handling procedures.
Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff involved in investigational and infusion services.
Participate in audits, quality improvement initiatives, and internal reviews to uphold practice standards.
Completion of PGY1 or PGY2 pharmacy residency (oncology or investigational drug focus preferred).
Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy (BCOP) is desirable.
Experience using investigational drug management platforms (e.g., Vestigo) and electronic health records (e.g., Epic).
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and documentation abilities.
Ability to work independently while providing leadership to a multidisciplinary team.
Knowledge of regulatory compliance and accreditation standards related to pharmacy operations.
