Job Title: Fulfillment Technician
Job Description The Fulfillment Technician is responsible for filling and compounding medications, including ointments, and communicating with nursing staff to confirm dosages. This role involves accurately filling prescriptions for a facility servicing 1000 beds, labeling prescriptions, and adhering to pharmacy policies and procedures.
Responsibilities - Fill and compound medications including ointments.
- Communicate with nursing staff to confirm dosage information.
- Accurately fill prescriptions for a facility with 1000 beds.
- Label prescriptions according to pharmacy standards.
- Follow all pharmacy policies and procedures.
- Work in either the daily fill or cycle fill departments.
- Daily fill tasks involve preparing prescriptions for immediate shipment.
- Cycle fill tasks involve filling blister cards and bottles for long-term use.
Essential Skills - Experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a similar role.
- Ability to work in a production-based environment.
- 1-3+ years of experience in pharmacy or production roles.
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications - Experience working in long-term care pharmacy settings is advantageous.
- Familiarity with serving nursing homes, assisted living, and group homes.
Work Environment
The position is based in a casual production environment where you must be able to stand for long periods. Shifts rotate weekly from Monday to Friday between 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM, with weekend shifts every third week. Saturday hours are 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and Sunday hours are 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
