We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support patient rehabilitation in a skilled nursing and long-term care setting. The PTA will work under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to implement treatment plans and help patients regain mobility, strength, and independence.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssist the Physical Therapist in providing therapeutic treatments to patients based on established care plans.
Deliver rehabilitative exercises and modalities to improve mobility, function, and physical performance.
Observe and document patient responses to treatment, reporting progress and concerns to the supervising PT.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of daily notes, progress updates, and functional observations.
Support patient education on home exercise programs, safety techniques, and functional improvement strategies.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure consistent and coordinated patient care.
Follow all facility policies, state regulations, and professional standards of practice.
Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of practice.
Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
Experience in skilled nursing or rehab setting preferred (but not mandatory).
Strong communication, documentation, and patient-engagement skills.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary clinical team.
