Job Summary

We are seeking experienced Special Staff Officers (SSOs) to support Army tactical formations and programs across multiple domains: Transportation, Munitions, Sustainment, and Medical . These roles require foundational operational experience in Army units and familiarity with relevant systems and equipment. SSOs will contribute to capability development, modernization planning, and program integration.

Responsibilities by Role

• Transportation SSO :

  • Support programs such as the Palletized Load System (PLS) and Heavy Trailers
  • Must be familiar with tactical wheeled vehicles, trailers, and MRAPs

• Munitions SSO :

  • Support Close Combat Systems and other munitions programs
  • Must understand direct/indirect fire munitions, missiles, pyrotechnics, and explosives

• Sustainment SSO :

  • Support Mobile Maintenance Systems and logistics modernization
  • Must be familiar with Ordnance and Quartermaster systems

• Medical SSO :

  • Support garrison and field hospital systems
  • Must understand medical evacuation doctrine and levels of patient care

Required Qualifications

• Foundational operational experience in Army tactical formations
• Familiarity with equipment and systems relevant to assigned domain
• Ability to support Army Acquisition Category (ACAT) II and III programs
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

• RQM 1010 / CLR 101: Introduction to JCIDS
• RQM 1100 / RQM 110: Core Concepts for Requirements Management / CDC
• RQM 3100 / RQM 310: Advanced Concepts and Skills
• CLR 151: Analysis of Alternatives
• RQM 2500 / CLR 250: Capabilities-Based Assessments
• RQM 2520 / CLR 252: Developing Performance Attributes
